1月5日、505 GamesとコジマプロダクションはPC版『DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR’S CUT』を2022年春に発売すると発表した。
『DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR’S CUT』は、2019年に発売したストランドゲーム『DEATH STRANDING』のリマスター作。
本作は昨年9月にPS5向けに販売がはじまっていたが、ついにPC版が発売されることに。PC版『DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR’S CUT』では、Intelのスーパーサンプリング技術である ｢XeSS｣ に対応する予定で、さらに高い処理能力を必要とせずにゲームの描画パフォーマンスを向上させることが可能だ。
『DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR’S CUT』は、新たなストーリーやミッションが追加されるほか、新しい配達サポートとして荷物カタパルトや自動追従ロボ、ジャンプ台などが追加されるほか、PC向け機能としてウルトラワイドモニター対応などが用意される。また、『ハーフライフ』や『Cyberpunk 2077』とのコラボコンテンツも収録予定だ。
