9月28日、ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテインメントは、2023年10月分のPS Plus加入者向けフリープレイ提供コンテンツを発表した。
今月は、『ファーミングシミュレーター 22』『Weird West』『MEGA盛りトロピコ5 コンプリートコレクション』の合計3本がPS4／PS5向けに配信される。提供期間はいずれも2023年10月3日(火)～11月6日(月)。

2022年6月から提供が始まった新しいPS Plusは、オンラインプレイやフリープレイ、セーブデータお預かりサービスなどの従来のPS Plusのサービスを踏襲したうえで、さらにプランによってはPS Nowや初代PSやPS2、PS3のタイトルなどより多くのコンテンツが楽しめるサービス。
本サービスは、｢エッセンシャル｣ ｢エクストラ｣ ｢プレミアム｣ の3段階式プランが用意されており、上のプランになればなるほど利用できるコンテンツが増える仕組みだ。

- PlayStation Plus エクストラ
- PlayStation Plus プレミアム
このうち、｢エクストラ｣ ｢プレミアム｣ のユーザーは、PS4／PS5の数百本のタイトルを集めた ｢ゲームカタログ｣ が利用できる。
さらに ｢プレミアム｣ のユーザーは、PS3タイトルが楽しめるほか、初代PS／PS2／PSPのタイトルを集めた ｢クラシックカタログ｣ も利用可能だ。
